For three years C.FOSTER sponsored the youth basketball teams of Jequiá Yacht Club in Rio de Janeiro. Youngsters were stimulated to practice sports from an early age, keeping several of them away from bad company and bad habits.

The teams were successful and gathered some good results in regional championships and significant wins over top regional teams. These results have been an incentive to the youngsters showing them that they are able to overcome difficulties and constraints in their lives.

Some players succeeded in getting transferred to major basketball clubs, such as Flamengo and Fluminense. This confirms that good work leads to great achievements.

Beyond the good results, the youngsters learned how to work as a team and the sporting life helped them to increase their own self esteem, improving their behavior and turning them into good citizens.

These years practicing basketball will certainly greatly help their personal and professional success, no matter which route they decide to pursue in life.
